International Participant Request

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 11th Annual U.S. Open Taekwondo Hanmadang.  In order to participate in the event, all international participants MUST meet the following criteria:

1. Must hold a current U.S. Visa at the time of the competition. A copy of the U.S. Visa must be brought to Participant Check-in on Thursday July 25, 2019 between 2:00 –10:00 PM at the Headquarters Hotel – Hotel Elegante.
2. Must be a member of a martial arts school that is registered to attend the U.S. Open Taekwondo Hanmadang.
3. Must have a signed permission form or letter to attend and participate in the U.S. Open Taekwondo Hanmadang from your Grandmaster or Master.
4. Must provide the name of the sponsor (an individual or family) OR hotel you will be staying at while in Colorado Springs for the U.S. Open Taekwondo Hanmadang. If you will be staying at a hotel you must provide confirmation of your hotel reservation.
5. Once you provide the above required documentation the Organizing Committee will send you an official invitation letter so you can apply for the appropriate visa.

Additional Notes:

1. The Organizing Committee will make follow up phone calls or email to validate and confirm participation in the U.S. Open Taekwondo Hanmadang on July 26^th and 27^th, 2019.
2. All international participants and their representatives are REQUIRED to meet with Officials from the Organizing Committee on Thursday July 25^th from 4:00 – 4:30 PM at the Headquarters Hotel – Hotel Elegante (SALON E/F). This meeting is being held so that the Organizing Committee can provide a brief overview on all of the competition events as well as to validate the participants are who they say they are.  If an individual does not arrive at the designated time, we will be required to report the absence immediately to the local FBI office.
3. Please make sure all information is input correctly in your online application. If the Organizing Committee receives an application that is incomplete or suspicious it will be categorized as a RED FLAG application. All RED FLAGGED applications will be contacted by the Organizing Committee (phone and/or email) to receive all accurate and required information.  RED FLAGGED applicants are required to respond within 72 hours.  If the RED FLAGGED applicant does not respond within 72 hours the application will be voided.  All unresolved RED FLAGGED applications are compiled by the Organizing Committee and are submitted to the appropriate authorities in the United States.
